Our greatest priority and desire
Our heart’s desire for the people of the Islands of Bohol, and for you, is that the wonderful Gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ be heard, and that through the power of the Gospel those who hear may be saved…Romans 1:16 What is this Gospel or Good News by which you may be saved? It is “that Jesus Christ died for your sins in accordance with the scriptures; that He buried; and that He rose again on the third day as the scriptures foretold.”1 Corinthians 15:3-4 How can you be saved? The Word of God says, “If you will confess with your lips that Jesus is Lord, and in your heart believe that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved.” (Romans 10:9) 1. Admit you are a sinner. (Romans 3:23) 2. Recognize that the penalty for sin is death. (Romans 6:23a) 3. Believe that Jesus died to pay the penalty for your sin. (Romans 5:8) 4. Confess your sin to God and receive God’s forgiveness and His gift of eternal life. (Romans 10:13; Romans 6:23b) |
